KP And The Boom Boom

Originally hailing from Yorkshire, England the brilliant creative force known as Kate Priestley- Bernard, ‘KP’ is a multi-talented wonder woman, both on and off the stage. A veteran of the music scene here in Austin, the singer songwriter is better known for her neo soul band, KP and the Boom Boom. As well as fronting and managing the band, Kate’s toured nationally with her musical projects and opened for Sting, Snoop Dogg, The Flaming Lips and Questlove and is currently preparing material for her first solo project. She was selected multiple times as an official SXSW artist, has performed at ACL festival and has traveled nationally to perform for Visit Austin. As well as pursuing music Kate is also is Head of Operations for established music nonprofit Austin Music Foundation.
