Jon Gann

Jon Gann is a film producer and director, creating award-winning commercial, documentary and narrative films since 2000. His most recent award-winning productions include the feature documentaries "Married to the Music," and "Karen Carpenter: Starving for Perfection", and a growing series of short documentaries about 20th century DC artists, including expressionist Jacob Kainen, and abstractionist Alma Thomas

Jon has been a force in the film festival world, having created, consulted with and fostered dozens of events around the globe. He is the Founder of the DC Shorts Film Festival, one of the country’s premier short film showcases. Jon was a founding Board Member and former Executive Director of the Film Festival Alliance, the first organization to professionalize the festival space.

Bart Weiss

Bart Weiss is an award-winning independent film and video producer, director, editor, and educator. He is mainly known as the director and founder of the Dallas VideoFest. He produces the TV show “Frame of Mind” on KERA TV, which airs on all PBS stations in Texas.  He is a host of the Frankly Festivals Podcast and the Fog of Truth Podcast, He has taught film and video at Texas A&M's Visualization Lab, Southern Methodist University, and the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently teaching at UT Arlington and the University of North Texas.  He has been a video columnist for TheDallas Morning News, Dallas Times Herald, and United Features Syndicate. Bart received an MFA in Film Directing from Columbia University.
