 We’re exploring the cultish baseball fan base in the worlds of punk rock, hip-hop and heavy metal. One day I started asking my musician friends if they want to sit and talk baseball in front of a camera. They all replied, “When are we doing this?” So, we packed up the van and hit the road. We grabbed some cameras and mics, met with some baseball fans and just started talking. We struck gold. Turns out there’s a whole bunch of musicians just waiting to share their opinions on the game, their own war stories, and even some tear-jerking love letters to baseball. You won’t be disappointed.

 In homage to Black silent films of the 1920s, Lauren Finerman directs a poignant story about a young woman named Rose (Copeland), who has had to place her dreams on hold to care for her mother, Gloria (Christina Johnson), who is living with dementia. As Rose struggles to keep a roof over their heads, she watches the neighborhood around her fade away much like her mother’s memory, until the mysterious Sterling (Babatunji Johnson) helps to highlight the power of community and the strength found through unity, bringing Rose renewed hope for the future.
