Named 2023 Americana Artist of the Year at the Midwest Country Music Awards, Molly Brandt is making waves in the independent music scene across the Midwest and beyond. Her debut album, Surrender to the Night, has cemented her place in the Midwest Americana landscape, blending honky-tonk, countrypolitan and alt-rock influences. Through her songs, she paints vivid, unvarnished pictures of struggle, heartache, grit, and perseverence. With a musical background that includes stints as a classical pianist and jazz vocalist, Brandt found her songwriting voice when she turned to roots music, releasing her first singles in 2022, then performing at venues and festivals across the Midwest. She captivates audiences with her fiery delivery, memorable attire, and evocative lyrics. Her second album, American Saga, released on September 27th, 2024, and includes an even wider range of sounds. Complete with rock n' roll, disco, bluegrass, alt-country, Americana, and bluesy vibes, "American Saga" explores epic narratives uniquely positioned within the setting of American life. These new songs offer vignettes, place-based and character-driven stories that encourage deeper thinking and an overarching message about life in America.
