MPLS Festival Film | WITH PETER BRADLEY
When filmmaker Alex Rappoport met 79 year old Peter Bradley in 2020, Bradley hadn't sold many paintings nor had a major show in over four decades - yet he still painted every day in a shipping container studio, no matter what the weather. Over the course of changing seasons, the pair recorded Bradley's life story and artistic process, both deeply inspired by modern Jazz music. The sole figure on screen, Bradley narrates his life and discusses his art in an intimate portrait that is also a deep study of the creative process. The film’s critically lauded, original Jazz score by the Javon Jackson Quintet is an integral part of the storytelling; the soundtrack to Bradley’s life and art.
